Later that day, as Marcy is lounging about in her room she notices the tiny gem on Vanessa's coin slowly pulse with a blue light.

[Marceline Mori]

With a grin, Marcy presses down on the gem.
Oh Vanessa, naughty naughty, talking to little ol' me.

[Author]

Vanessa's voice plays in Marcy's head: "Hey, did you get this? I'm sorry we were so rudely interrupted."

[Marceline Mori]

Marceline raises the coin up to her mouth and speaks into it.
"It's okay, when the big bad wolf comes huffing and puffing you scram... Dunno why he didn't like me though. I'm clearly a perfect picture of Wolven society."

[Author]

"Yeah... they're really negative about 'foreign' people, but I've always proven... 'too curious.' But I wanted to talk to someone who wasn't one of us."

[Marceline Mori]

"Well..."
Marcy takes a quick look around the room.
Not messy enough
She grabs her guitar from a stand off to the side and flops down onto her small bed. She makes a couple quick strums on the guitar using the coin as her pick, just to test the sound.
Still good
Raising the coin back up to her mouth, she speaks into it. With her other hand she turns some of her blood into a pick, and continues to strum while leaving a new message.
"Well my dear, you've got me here. So, what are you wearing?"

"Um. A dress."

[Marceline Mori]

Wow, how boring
"Just a dress? Like, I don't get a description of colors or textures or things? How sad... I clearly need to give you some better clothing. Well... How are you? Find any cool toys after we split?"

[Author]

"Well no, It's top quality, Royal Astorian, red, gold trim... just, not sure why you asked. And... I'm guessing "toys" is a cultural metaphor for any sort of enjoyable tool?"

[Marceline Mori]

Marcy lets out an exasperated sigh, strums out a couple more notes, then sends another message.
"Yes, in this case I mean things that slice and dice. Like, chakrams or katanas."

[Author]

"Chakrams? Almost no one knows about Chakrams, damn things took me a couple weeks to got proficient at. Very odd as weapons go. Maybe not as exotic as chain-bound sickles though, don't know if anyone /actually/ uses them even. Still, more than anything I want training to use Quicksilver. It's everything at once!"

[Marceline Mori]

Marceline looks down at her piercing with a devilish grin.
Oh baby. I am about to have so much fun
"Guess that's something I have over you. I do know about someone who uses chain bound sickles. As for the quicksilver, I know where some of that stuff is actually."

[Author]

"Well it's not Quicksilver that's hard to find, it's a tutor for really using it. But... Really? Actual chain-sickles? And do you mean like, tries to use them or legitimately makes it work like the legends? I don't even know if I could make those things work, at least, not without a loooooot of practice."

[Marceline Mori]

"I think she was raised by sylvan, or with them. Don't really know, but she does walk around topless all day wearing sylvan tribal clothing and knows how to use the sickles. As for quicksilver training, what do you mean you need a trainer? Because I have some in my belly button that seems to work just fine."

After sending the message, Marceline takes a moment to set aside the guitar and strip off her clothing. She calls up the quicksilver, shuddering a bit at how exposed she feels wearing nothing but the thin layer of metal, then starts to do practice combat motions. She creates various weapons with her blood, and walks through basic stances and attacks with them. She then makes the quicksilver dissipate and goes through them again naked, trying to feel any major differences between nude and quicksilver.

She can feel the quicksilver against her skin, and can feel the lack of air against it - but beyond she doesn't much feel it when she moves.

"Well, is it set to a specific form, or can you shape it to whatever you want? I'm talking about carrying a lump of metal into battle and shifting it into any form I want at a given moment. But more importantly, who is this? She isn't a Sylvan herself?"

[Marceline Mori]

Marcy goes through a couple more routines, ending with trying to make stabbing and spinning motions with a set of doubled sided daggers in the nude before noticing the bleeping blue dot. She pauses to collect up her blood, grabs the coin and flops back onto her bed. Because of the minuet differences between quicksilver and nothing, it's only when she feels the soft cloth of her bed on bare back that she realizes she forgot to get dressed again.

She gives her current state of dress a little thought, then shrugs and accepts Nessa's message.

"I have it set to become skin-tight armor that could fit underneath my other clothing. I was just doing some practice motions, testing how I felt with it on and comparing that to fighting naked. Honestly, the difference was so negligible that I forgot I was naked when I hopped back on my bed to relax. As for Kalia, no. She's not sylvan, just a panther folk."

[Author]

"Pantherfolk? I think those people are a lot like Sylvans. I wonder how finicky quicksilver armor would be on fur..."

[Marceline Mori]

"I can tell you that it feels pretty wonderful on skin. Like... Being wrapped in a tight blanket. Plus, it looks great."

[Author]

"So... what is your life like?"

[Marceline Mori]

"Sex, drugs and rock and roll. Well, actually no drugs. But the rest is pretty par for the course. And a lot of adventure. Like, right now I'm on a ship that's set to sail to the ends of the world. The captains crazy, but he wants to see all that the world has of offer. I was working at a bar in Alexandria when he busted in and asked if anyone wanted to go on the adventure of their life time. And, I thought why not, so now I'm on a boat sailing east. Destination, everywhere."

[Marceline Mori]

While she waits for Nessa to get back to her, Marcy takes a moment to indulge in one of her more disturbing pleasures.

She lies down on her back and raises up her right hand into the air. Slowly blood seeps down from the gauntlet in thin rivers, a set of three bloodly lines creeping down her arm. It's feels warm, contrasting against the cold air in her room. Her eyes close, and she relaxes as the blood continues it's journey. It's starts to bend as it gets near her shoulder, diverting its course to head towards her upper body instead of following the rules of gravity down to the bed. The blood continues it's flow, going around her breasts and crisscrossing her stomach before reaching her legs. Her left leg arches up, and the blood starts to spiral around it until it finally reaches the tips of her toes. To an outsider, it almost would look like a tatto stretching across her form. Then it starts to recede back up her body, returning to the gauntlet.

With the process done her eyes open, and she looks towards the coin.

[Author]

The coin lights up a few seconds after Marcy takes a look at it. "That blue haired girl looked like YOU! I met someone else who said she was on such a voyage, she looked familiar. Claimed to be Aristotle's daughter too... Is she really?"

[Marceline Mori]

Remembering the conversation she just had with Aurora, Marcy's face turns into a grimace. With just a hint of anger she sends "Yeah, that little shit would be Aurora. Aristotle's her father alright. He made her an amulet that would turn her into a human while she wore it."
Marcy pauses for a moment and lets out a sigh of frustration.
"She... Saved my ass earlier. She can be a little naive sometimes... Okay, a lot of times. But she's a good person at heart, still just a kid wanting to live an adventure. She seems to think I'm really cool or something, so when her Daddy asked her what form she wanted she chose a younger, bluer version of me. Something about my 'tragic' backstory made her think I was a hero from one of her adventure stories."

[Author]

"Yeah she seemed to think anyone could just go do whatever they wanted."
Before Marcy responded, however, a second message appeared on the coin.
"Mind if I inquire about this 'tragic' backstory of yours?"

[Marceline Mori]

Marcy pauses at Nessa's last message. Her heart starts to beat beneath her chest, and she can feel her blood starting to flow.
Anxious. Why am I anxious. I've never had a problem with what I am. But... What if she does...
Scattered images flash through Marcy's mind. Of backs turned, doors slammed, torches raised and friendships lost. She's never had a problem with who she is, but others certainly have.
It's... Been good so far! Right? I mean, I met Luc, and he didn't mind... Luc...
And now pictures of the most chill bat folk in the world come to the forefront of her thought. Luc... Her first real friend in ages. The last time she remembers being able to call someone that was... Before the slave pits. Luc is replaced by violence, blood, and the first feeding.
...better she finds out from me then from anyone else. Just tell her.

Marcy picks up her guitar and plays a couple tunes, hoping to send the music across as well as the words, then she softly sings "I'm just a girl who wants to see the world."
