Marcy's eyes widen in excitement.
"And maybe another chance to fuck with Wolven!"

Kai tilts his head.

"I was actually reading up on what we know about the Wolven kingdoms to the east. "Keld" the girl said her family name was, they're apparently pretty a pretty wealthy noble group under the Astorian throne, or at least were by the date of my books. We don't get much influx of information from them, very isolationist."

[Aurora the Dragon]

"Huh. You're talking about that wolf girl? I don't understand her at all. The very notion of letting someone hold you back from your dreams, absurd!"

[Marceline Mori]

"Oh! We met this Wolven group back at the city. Couple guys and one chick who was really really into weapons. I've never been with a Wolven before, so I tried to put the moves on her and take her back to my place. Well, her father didn't like that and threatened to kill me... Hey... Wolven do everything together right? So, think it would have ended up being some weird furry orgy?"

[Author]

Troy chuckles. "Well, what if her family depended upon her for survival? Granted if the Kelds have any of the power they're said to here that's likely not her situation, but..."

Kai laughs. "I don't think that's exactly what a 'collectivist culture' means..." Kai trails off, deep in thought.

[Aurora the Dragon]

"Oh, I've read quite a bit about their culture. I think it's absolutely ridiculous. They limit themselves to such a degree. It's absurd! I can't even believe they can put up with it. Their civilization is built upon principles that make them ordered and strong, but they lack freedom, joy, and any other means to truly get the most out of life. What is the point of life if you live every second of it doing exactly what you're told and never what you want? It's outright dreadful."

[Author]

"You sound so much like a cat."

[Marceline Mori]

Marceline gets a devilish grin on her face.
"I see you are deep in thought, thinking about a bunch of Wolven being deep in me?"

[Aurora the Dragon]

"I'm a dragon. I have the right to feel however I want. Try explaining the concept of not being able to get what you want to a dragon. At best, you'll get a snort and a laugh. At worst, you just might make them mad. We don't care for restrictions."

[Author]

Kai vainly attempts to suppress a smile.

[Marceline Mori]

"Yeah, yeah you are. You naughty boy, don't think I don't know what you and Kalia get up to. I know what you want."
Marceline stretches once more.
"Everybody wants a piece of the Marc."

Kai laughs an embarrassed little laugh.

[Marceline Mori]

Continuing her assault, Marcy winks at Kai "Bet you'd love to see me all tied up in her chains, wouldn't you?"

[Author]

"Uuuuuuuhhhhmmmm..." Kai blushes.

"Aren't cultural studies fascinating?" Troy says, sincerely but with a hint of irony

[Marceline Mori]

"Well, now I'm all worked up Kai... I really need to, uh... Let out some... Tension..."
Marceline says with a heavy voice.

Hm, damn and right when she has me off balance.

"I, uh," he says, trying to recompose himself, "Know some tricks for that."

[Marceline Mori]

"Good! I want to see all of them. Do everything you can to me. Come at me as rough and as hard as you can because Boy."
Marceline rolls towards Kai and causes blood to twist around her arm into a dagger.
"I wanna spar."
She then tilts her head to the side.
"Wanna bet you can take me?"

[Author]

Kai smiles. "I told you..." he leaps into the air, and his axe flies out from one of the crow's nests and into his hand. He lands gracefully a couple yards from Marcy. "I know a few tricks."

[Aurora the Dragon]

"They make good reading material, that's for sure. I mostly like the stories of Wolven who go against their culture. They breed excellent tales of escape to freedom and adventure. Funny, since they're almost never the ones writing them. It's mostly others having imaginations for them. Their culture represses that kind of thing."

[Marceline Mori]

Marceline rolls away from Kai and stands up with her back towards him. She looks over her shoulder and smirks, then casually unties her bikini top and drops it to the floor. Silver liquid rises up from her waist as the Quicksilver armor covers her from head to toe. She spins around, blood whip scything through the air and faces Kai with a combat stance.

"So, rules and stakes? Wadda we fighting to, and what are we fighting for?"

"They do have some pretty great war dramas though."

[Luc Weiyn]

The next couple days were spent with the time machine off to enjoy the clear weather atop the ship, and to allow Roger's skeleton crew to go about widening the doorframes a few inches so that Aurora could fit though, and knocking out a wall between two rooms. Kalia, raised by a people who were close to Sylvans, spent a great deal of time about the ship topless, and pretty much shrugged off any comments about it. Not all of her clothes were tribal wear, however.

Kai and Crystal were apparently orphans, and he had looked out for her until she was picked up by a university for her arcane aptitude.

Kai and Kalia were said to not be romantically involved but are clearly... together. This doesn't stop Kai from flirting with Marcy, nor Kalia from a little more forwardly hitting on Luc.

Roger asks Aurora to maybe not talk about him to her father since he was kinda not on great terms with him in the way way past and it didn't matter anymore since he was bound to Kai's service now anyway but it's probably best you don't mention me to him.

Troy and Aurora get along particularly well, being the intellectuals of the group.

Luc spends a large portion of his time taking it easy and relaxed. Often is he found gazing absentmindedly out into the ocean blue, or simply lounging about with his straw hat draped over his eyes. Occasionally, he'll rig up a rope to one of the ship's masts and leap off the back of the boat, either waterboarding on whatever flat object he can get a hold of or para-sailing with his own wings. He seems to keep migrating his choice of sleeping quarters; the first night was spent sleeping in his new kitchen, and the second left him hanging from the storage deck rafters, despite the suggestion being a joke.

Kalia's further attempts to flirt with Luc are just as successful as the first; that is to say, each advance is somehow construed into something more innocent, usually relating to food or cooking. If he's doing it on purpose, he does a very good job of feigning ignorance. He does, however, take an active interest in her exposure to Sylvan culture, periodically asking for more details.

Once more, Luc stirs from one of his afternoon naps, this time dangling upside-down high up in some of the sail riggings. Though, 'nap' was a loose term; all the heavy winds made it rather difficult to actually sleep, though it was still rather tranquil to simply sway with the breeze. But, that was enough of that for today; he releases the rope from his grasp, letting himself plummet downward towards the deck as he unfurls his wings, which promptly slow his descent to something substantially less painful. He lands and rubs an eye with the back of his hand, looking around.
"Afternoon," he greets in a somewhat groggy tone.

[Aurora the Dragon]

"Hmmm. The war dramas are not nearly as interesting as tales of adventure."

[Author]

"To each his own," Troy says, "I just find people fascinating."
