Luc looks between the others with confusion, then a little unease as he stares at Charles. The full magnitude of what just happened is somewhat lost on him, but given the reactions, he does understand it's big. He always knew something was off about that cat...
"Normally I'd say, um... what's that expression again? Don't look a gift horse in the mouth? I'm going to take a wild guess here and say that solved Marcy's fishhook problem, but..."

Marcy blinks a couple times with a somewhat startled expression towards Charles, then shrugs nonchalantly and leans down to start scratching him behind his ears.
"Whose a good little boy? You are! You are!"
She says, showering him with love and affection. Her head turns to address the assembled group saying "Hes just trying to protect his girl guys, nothing wrong with that." Then she returns her focus to Charles. "Now lets go kick some demonic ass and get you more sin string to play with!"

"I mean... Granted I was forcing it to manifest as a physical entity, but to bend and then snap based on force..."

Charles accepts Marcy's love gleefully.

"Must not've been by physical force then. Must've just looked like it."

Aurora looks up from her notes for a moment. "Well, Charles is definitely connected to Marcy in a strong way, almost like a familiar yet more. That would at least partially explain his ability to detach something from his hosts soul, though the physical nature of it as well as is apparent innocence are both incredibly weird. It could be that Charles is powerful enough to force enchantments to manifest on a very physical level. This would imply Charles has Aetherial ties and incredible magical strength. He doesn't seem to radiate power though. His whole existence is baffling to say the least."

Kai laughs at Marcy's comment.
"Well... Divine entities don't have to play by the rules all the time, but I've never heard of something quite like this."
it's fairly well understood that Arcane magic is the manipulation of the world's laws, while 'divine' is a general term for powers and entities supersede them altogether. Usually divine things follow their own rules and are limited by power, as is everything, but no universal laws of behavior apply to them all.

Hands shoved deep into the pockets of his fur coat, Luc walks over to Marcy, his expression one of calculated neutrality as he leans down a little to address Charles.
"I dunno what you are, but I do know you're listening."
He then gives a small sigh.
"...so, thanks for helping Marcy out. Really, I mean it."

"Clearly we need to snuggle to stay warm." Marcy says. "I hear body heat deals with cold pretty well. And then, when the demon sneaks up on us we cuddle him to death."

Kalia rolls her eyes. At this point, Valska has returned to her clan mates.
"time to pack up then," Kai says, and then rubs his hands together. "Who wants to see another trick? This one Roger had set up when we found the thing." Kai pulls out a glass bottle - or at least, it looked like glass - and pointed it at the front of the ship. The Brilliant Spectre had an opening out the front, so the party was able to disembark with the ship pointed at the shore - and this is why that was actually a good idea. The ship's silver filigree begins to glow, and then its shape distorts as it gets sucked into the bottle. Kai shoves a stopper on it and shows it to the newer crew members. "Ship in a bottle!"

"Wow. Thats... uhhh... thats a neat bottle trick you have there." Marcy says, looking quite impressed by the whole deal. "Can people be on board when you do that? Better question, can they be on board and survive when you do that."

"Heh, kinda - anything not part of the ship left on top of the deck won't get sucked in. Even if you're below deck, though, you'll run out of air pretty quick. And apparently it can fuck with living things sometimes. So... if by people you mean Roger, then yes. Otherwise not so much. Anyway, this is our trick for not having to find a way around huge landmasses - among other conveniences."

"Besides, if the demon is actually strong enough, the boat won't actually do much more than surprise him. He'll probably just get angrier and destroy our boat. We'd be stranded here until we found another."

And so, the group gets going. Elias says his team is waiting on reinforcements of some kind, but they you and they needn't stick together, and that you should go on ahead. Naturally, the Tigerfolk deign to travel relatively close to your group, but without sharing camp. The Tigerfolk make good time, but due to the clan's size the party travels slower than they would along. On top of they, they have to fight through Tigerfolk zombies. The forest here isn't dense enough with them to be a threat for the party, Valska, and her clan, however.

After sunset, the party makes camp. Valska provides a particularly hot fire to keep the party warm. After the party eats, they begin to take turns keeping watch...
