Scene G - Second Skin

Luc and Marcy enter the armor shop Second Skin. There are steps before the door, and inside the floor is a fine dark hardwood. At the back left of the room is a counter in a "W" shape, made of glass cases filled with various pieces of protected apparel. Along the right side are sets of armor set upon mannequins, and a support beam sits in the middle of the room, off to the right a bit. An elven woman with black hair, red dress and a tattoo over her eyebrow stands behind the counter writing. She glances up at Luc and Marcy, then goes back to writing. "May I help you?" she asks as though not expecting much of an answer.

[Marceline Mori]

"Yup." Marcy says, taking little care in the elf's tone of voice. She drops a open sack full of gold on the women's desk then removes the diamond from her breast pocket and places it on top of the sack. "I wanna throw money at you in exchange for something that'll stop me from getting stabbed. Of course, if your writing is more important then my money..."

The woman looks up at the pile of money and freezes. "Well, yes, I was just updating our inventory," she says quickly, standing up straight and trying to save face. "Should make it easy for me to find what you need! We have a very large selection of protective pieces, and our namesake specialty is Quicksilver - Silver treated and enchanted to act like a liquid at will, and harden when it needs to. Makes for top-of-the-line armor for anyone interested in mobility and convenience."

[Marceline Mori]

"Ah! Quicksilver, good good good. See, your place was recommended to me for its excellent customer service and high quality of quicksilver; both being aspects I prize when looking for an armor shop." Marcy starts to casually stride through the shop, acting like she owns the place. Her hands are folder behind her back, and every now and then she leans in to examine some of the wares. "So far you've got one of them, but lets see if your Quicksilver is as good as I've heard."
Making her way back to the desk, she stares at the women confidently and says "I was thinking a bodysuit that could cover my upper torso, waist and legs. Something that stayed semi-malleable so it could still cover my joints, and I'd like it to condense down into a object of holding. Specifically a piercing of holding in my bellybutton."

"I see, never want to be caught unprotected, hm? Well you're not the only one, so we actually have a few such containers in stock. As for the armor itself, we'll have to go through a process or molding and attuning it to you. I'll warn you, we'll have to take a small sample of your blood, will that be alright?"

[Marceline Mori]

Marcy looks at Luc, then back to the woman. She lets out a small creepy smile and states "Oh, that won't be a problem. That won't be a problem at all."

[Author]

"Good! I'll go notify our mage, we'll call you when we're ready," she says, and walks into the back. "Feel free to look around!"

[Marceline Mori]

Marceline feels free to look around.
She then looks around

Lacking the funds to buy much of anything magical, Luc is content to let Marcy shop, though does glance around at some of the merchandise out of curiosity.

After a few minutes, the back door opens and the woman beckons Marcy to her.

Marcy follows the woman.
Swear to god if this is another fucking ambush I WILL BE VERY CROSS

Marcy follows the woman down the hall into a room with lit by glowing stones. The floor is stone, and there are a few Sigil's carved into the ground. An older man - late 50s - is waiting I the room, his hands over a small bowl of liquid silver. "Ah, good good, you're here. Would you like this as a bottom layer or to fit over your undergarments?"

Meanwhile Charles hops up on the shoulder of an armored mannequin

[Marceline Mori]

Marcy puts her hand to her chin for a moment.
Let's see... If it fit over my underwear I wouldn't have to deal with being possibly naked if I took my armor off, just half naked. Or I can just use it as underwear and not potentially fuck up my actual underwear with sweat. It'll also have marginally less materials to deal with, and will look better as one smooth outfit instead of an outfit with ridges. I guess it's a debate of slightly more decency or slightly more utility.
"Bottom layer."

"All right," he says, "we'll have to ask you to strip bare for the molding process then, if you're alright with that." He pulls out a small vial and a tiny knife. "And a few drops of your blood - where would you prefer I prick you?"

[Marceline Mori]

Marceline takes great care with Luc's shirt, making sure not to ruffle it or create unnecessary creases by folding it up carefully. After placing it on the stone floor, she proceeds to unceremoniously strip off the rest of her clothing, tossing her bra, panties and pants into a rumpled up pile on the floor. Standing with confidence before the shopkeeper and silversmith in all her glory, she holds out her right arm and starts to bleed herself. Pulled up from the incisions in her flesh by the gauntlet, Marcy causes enough blood to fill the vial to stream down her arm and land in without spilling a drop. Her skin then regenerates itself around the wounds, closing back up on the gauntlets hooks that are dug into the skin of her right arm.

"If you don't mind, I'd like to not look naked while wearing the armor. While I'm sure it would be distracting to the people trying to kill me, I'd like to hold onto some of my decency. If you could smooth over my genitalia when molding the armor so I don't have a permanent camel toe or nipple armor, that would be great."

[Author]

The wizard stares at the gauntlet in fascination as Marcy drips blood from it, but makes no remark. "Of course, of course - I can straighten it out over your breasts as well, so the armor doesn't have cleavage if you wish," he says while pouring the blood into the pool of quicksilver.

[Marceline Mori]

Really. The Gauntlet. Really. Thats what you are staring at.
"Yeah, that'd make sense. Also, if you could have it cut off at my shoulders, that would be helpful. I sometimes need to be able to get to the flesh on my arms. Maybe mark a triangular shape around my neck."
Marceline drags her hands down her neck, to demonstrate what she means to the man.

He nods. "I can do that. Though, I could also get it to protect your neck, either to the top of your throat or up around your jawline."

[Marceline Mori]

"Just the top of the throat. Don't want those pesky vampires getting at me."

[Author]

He nods, and puts his hands over the bowl. A sigil appears around the edge of the bowl, and the metal begins drifting up toward his hands. He guides it like a flow of water onto Marcy's stomach, then it begins molding to hit her body, up to her requested specifications. The woman from the front desk returns to her post. The wizard, holding one hand out to keep the armor in place, glances over a book on the table, and a sigil appears over Marcy's stomach. "Now, given how you gave me your blood sample I'll venture a guess you're versed in operating magical items by will?"

[Marceline Mori]

Huh, having silver form-fitted to your body feels better then you'd think. I might be able to get used to this
Marcy nods in response to the mans question.
"I list my profession as "adventurer". Operating magical items is like, half the job."

[Author]

The man gives a slight chuckle. "Very well then, makes this step much easier. Reach your will into the armor and I can finish attuning it to your body." Marcy does so, and for a little while, she can feel the armor begin to harden, restricting her movement uncomfortably. Then, it begins to soften, or - no, not soften, it just move out of the way whenever she does. "Alright, it should be fine now, feel free to move around, tell me how it feels." The contact on her skin is constant, but otherwise it feels like it isn't there at all.

[Marceline Mori]

"Feels like I'm fighting naked..."
Marcy does some quick physical displays, makes a couple of slashing motions with her arm as if she was using the blood whip before finally settling down.
"Alright, this is awesome. Now, how do I get it into a piercing? I was hoping to store it in my bellybutton"

"Alright, a simple stud work fine for you?" he asks.
